The Last Minute Before Shutdown of Chinese WoW Servers Around the Internet Imagine you are playing World of Warcraft, for maybe 10 or more years, and then suddenly you get the news that Blizzard and the network provider in your country could not reach an agreement, and as such, the contract will be terminated. This means World of Warcraft is gonna go bye bye. This is exactly what happened about a year ago in China. In the aftermath of the shutdown, players were so mad at this, that there has been unrest at the Chinese Blizzard offices. However, apparently the two companies are talking to each other now, so maybe the servers will come back - but that is pure speculation. Imagine that all the things you grew emotionally attached to, for over 10 years, are being taken away in the glimpse of an eye. Everything that ever was in your favorite fantasy world, gone... forever, like tears in the rain. In the final minute of the Chinese WoW servers, they all came together - to say their final goodbyes - in their very own emotional way. So heartbreaking, it makes me teary eyed. I can not imagine how devastated I would be if I can no longer play together with my wife. We made so many great memories together already in Azeroth. But whatever happens - remember: they cannot shutdown your memories. |
