The airport is the second-busiest in Germany after Frankfurt Airport and the eleventh-busiest in Europe, handling 41.6 million passengers in 2024, and is located about 30km to the north of Munich. Munich Airport is a hub for Lufthansa. It has two passenger terminals, two runways, and extensive cargo and maintenance facilities capable of handling wide-body aircraft such as the Airbus A380. Now equipped with next-gen ground imagery of Orthographic, the airport and its surroundings showcase what the tech is capable of delivering for modern flight simulators such as X-Plane, and Digital Clones.
